If you have a dental emergency, call the office as early in the day as possible. 717-653-8177 Time is reserved in our schedule each day for emergency patients. Your problem will be diagnosed and pain relieved. For after hours emergencies, phone the office for instructions to contact a dentist. Dr. Wenger and other area dentists participate in a rotating weekend coverage schedule.

Your First Visit
When you schedule your first appointment please plan to select your payment option. Following diagnosis Dr. Wenger will discuss the treatment plan with you. At that time we will discuss cost and payment options. Payment is due at the time of service unless you have made prior arrangements with our financial secretary.

Cash or Check
When paying by cash or check at the time of service you will receive a 5% courtesy discount.

Credit Cards
We accept major credit cards. However, the courtesy discount does not apply.

Insurance
We will gladly submit your claim, although we do not participate with any dental insurance plan.
Depending on the treatment provided we can estimate your payment due at time of service. Your insurance is contract between you, your employer and the insurance carrier. Patients are responsible for balances in full after 60 days; even if their insurance coverage hasn’t paid.

Budget Plans
If extending payment would be helpful, we have applications for outside payment plans. These plans offer patient payment options that work best for your budget.

Children of Divorced Parents
A statement of financial responsibility is necessary for minor patients of divorced parents. We have forms available for signature or you can have the responsible parent write a short letter with their signature. If no statement of financial responsibility is received, the parent that brings the child to the appointment is responsible for the balance.

Most patients enter our practice one of two ways: they have a dental emergency that needs immediate attention or they want a comprehensive exam to restore and maintain their dental health. If you have current x-rays at another dentist, please request that copies be sent to our office.

Yes, we can help you achieve the whiter and brighter smile you have always desired, through a convenient take-home bleaching kit. A dental examination is completed first to make sure this procedure is appropriate for you. Impressions are taken of your teeth and custom fit trays are fabricated to hold the bleaching gel. You are instructed on the use of the product, and trays are fitted for you to begin the whitening process. One hour per day for 2-3 weeks is all you need to whiten your teeth 2-3 shades lighter. Clinical studies indicate that this procedure is safe under the supervision of a dentist. To maintain the desired shade you may need to “touch-up” your teeth for 2-3 days once or twice each year, depending on your consumption of staining substances (coffee, tea, cola, tobacco). It’s that simple!

We recommend your child have their first checkup visit by age 2. We believe this so strongly that your 2 year old's first visit is Free. You can tell your children they will get a chance to take a ride on a moving chair, possibly on mommy or daddy's lap. They will get to meet Mr. Sun (dental light) and Mr. Windy (air/water syringe). Starting visits early is essential for life long health.
